When should I start the physiotherapy program after my surgery?
It’s dependent on your surgeon’s advice however, physiotherapy usually starts in the first few days or one week following surgery. We will work closely with your medical team to ensure an appropriate timeframe.
Do I have to travel for my sessions?
No, we conduct all sessions from home, which is perfect for the initial period of recovery when travel might be difficult.
What happens if I'm experiencing too much pain to do any exercise?
We will always strive to work within your tolerance for pain and employ gentle techniques to reduce the discomfort and build strength slowly.
Do you want to work alongside my consultant, or GP?
Yes. If you are able to allow us we will share updates on your progress and adhere to your doctor’s post-operative rehabilitation program very closely.
How many sessions will I need?
It’s based on your surgical procedure and individual goals. Certain patients need just only a few weeks of assistance and others will need a longer program. We’ll monitor your progress frequently.
